New international standard – ISO 23351-1

For many years, there has been a need to declare mobile silent rooms with regard to their ability to reduce sound. Some testing has been carried out according to the wishes of different suppliers, but since it was not quite clear how this should be done, it has been done in a fairly arbitrary way that each measuring operator seems to be suitable for the product being tested.

Now there finally is a global standard called ISO 23351-1 "Acoustics - Measurement of speech level reduction of furniture ensembles and enclosures - Part 1: Laboratory method" to meet the need to be able to declare the sound attenuation from a mobile workplace in an office environment.

Acoustic Facts has been represented in the process of developing ISO 23351-1 by Pontus Thorsson and Klas Hagberg.

Acoustic facts have the capacity to make the measurements that the standard requires so welcome to contact us to make the necessary arrangements for your company.
